John Alfred Tinniswood, a 111-year-old man from Liverpool, England, has been officially recognized as the world’s oldest man by Guinness World Records. The certificate was presented to him at the care home where he resides in Southport.

Tinniswood attributes his long life to a combination of luck, moderation and a weekly fish and chip supper. He believes that leading a balanced lifestyle is key to living a healthy life and avoiding health issues. He never smokes or drinks excessively and follows no special diet other than his weekly fish and chip supper.

In Tinniswood’s view, luck plays an important role in determining how long one lives, but it is not entirely out of our control. Despite this belief, he emphasizes the importance of moderation in leading a healthy life and making good choices that will benefit us in the long run. His outlook on life and his habits have helped him reach the remarkable age of 111 years old. Currently, Maria Branyas Morera from Spain holds the title of the world’s oldest living person at 117 years old.
