Ogeechee Technical College recently celebrated the graduation of its 2024 Veterinary Technology Program with a pinning ceremony held on April 18th in the auditorium of the Joseph E. Kennedy Building. The event was attended by guests and family members of the graduates, who were welcomed by Taylor Rhymes-Wiedner, a graduate of the program.

Juliana Cadle, President of the Ogeechee Tech’s Student Chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (SCNAVTA), led the Challenge to Serve as part of the ceremony. Deidre Tillman, a Veterinary Technology instructor at OTC, praised the graduates for their dedication to completing their academic curriculum and for demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and compassionate care throughout their training. She expressed confidence in their abilities to make a difference in the lives of animals and their human companions.

During the ceremony, each member of the class took the Veterinary Technician’s Oath and were individually recognized and presented with an Ogeechee Technical College Veterinary Technology pin. The 2024 pin recipients include Avery Beasley, Bonnie Blackburn, Enyia Bostic, Hannah Etheridge, Bryn Green, Faith Jones, Michalla Jones, Maranda Martin, Taylor Rhymes-Weidner, and Madison Wooley.
