Zuppardi’s Apizza, an iconic West Haven establishment, is celebrating its 90th year in business this week. Located at 179 Union Ave., the restaurant will be hosting an anniversary celebration on Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The owners of Zuppardi’s are excited to commemorate their legacy and the loyalty of their customers over the years. As one of the oldest family-owned businesses in the United States, Zuppardi’s has been serving up delicious pizza and Italian ice since 1934.

The anniversary party will feature a variety of activities, including live music, food from the City of West Haven mayor, Dorinda Borer, and pizza from the Zuppardi family. Additionally, they will be selling special 90th-anniversary t-shirts with proceeds going towards supporting the Closer to Free Fund, which helps those affected by cancer at Smilow Cancer Hospital.

In addition to their main restaurant location in West Haven, the Zuppardi family also operates a frozen pizza business that sells to large retailers nationwide. They have a Zuppardi’s Pizza Truck for catering events and additional takeout locations in Ansonia. With multiple locations and businesses under their belt, it’s clear that the Zuppardi family is still going strong after all these years!
