In an interview with UK tabloid The Sun, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his concerns about the war in Ukraine escalating into World War III. He cited Russia’s involvement in conflicts around the world and its refusal to stop unless pressured by the US and China.

Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of China’s role in pressuring Russia, noting that China is not interested in the Middle East like Russia and Iran. He warned that Ukraine is at the center of global risks of World War III, and that Russia may continue to push until the US and China work together to confront the situation.

In addition to facing challenges in garnering support from the US Congress, Zelenskyy acknowledged that Ukraine is unable to defend itself without assistance from Western countries. He stressed the implications of a potential defeat by Russia, warning that NATO countries could be next if Ukraine falls.

Zelenskyy’s remarks underscored the urgent need for international support in preventing further escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and deterring Russia from further aggression.
