Brighton has appointed Fabian Hürzeler as their new manager, taking over from Roberto de Zerbi. The Seagulls made the announcement before their final game of the season, which they lost 2-0 to Manchester United. Expectations were for Brighton to choose an unconventional replacement for the Italian, but Hürzeler’s appointment came as a surprise.

Hürzeler, who helped St. Pauli secure a return to the Bundesliga last season, has signed a contract with Brighton until 2027. At just 31 years old, he becomes the youngest permanent manager in Premier League history, surpassing Chris Coleman who took charge of Swansea at age 32. This appointment marks a new chapter for Brighton, as they look to build on their performances and successes under Hürzeler’s leadership.
