Xpheno, a staffing firm with over 500 employees, has declared July 1st as a holiday to celebrate India’s victory in the T20 World Cup final held on June 29. The company made this decision unexpectedly, despite the beginning of the month typically being busy with billings and payroll closures. The firm wanted to give their employees a day off as a tribute to Team India for their outstanding performance.

India emerged as T20 champions after a 17-year gap by defeating South Africa in the final held in Barbados. The team was led by Rohit Sharma and included Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja who announced their retirement from T20 International cricket. Suryakumar Yadav’s exceptional catch during the final over when South Africa needed 16 runs helped secure India’s victory. This catch was a game-changer as it prevented a potential six from David Miller.

Leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and Rahul Gandhi extended their wishes to the team on their victory. Additionally, 3.6 crore Indians visited a platform for General Election Results in a single day, solidifying its position as the go-to platform for such updates.
