The global disaster relief program, World Central Kitchen, has announced the suspension of operations at its main kitchen in Rafah due to ongoing Israeli attacks. In response to the situation, the group has relocated many of its smaller community kitchens to northern Gaza in order to continue providing support to those in need.

The recent announcement comes after a tragic incident in April where seven World Central Kitchen workers were killed in a strike by the Israeli Defense Force. Following the attack, the group temporarily suspended its operations in Gaza before deciding to resume its relief efforts later in the month. Despite the obstacles they have faced, World Central Kitchen remains dedicated to providing aid to those affected by the conflict in Gaza.

As Israel’s offensive pushes further into Rafah, millions of people have been displaced from their homes and families are seeking refuge as Israel’s offensive continues across the Gaza Strip. The situation is causing immense upheaval and uncertainty for residents and displaced people alike. Despite these challenges, World Central Kitchen has been working diligently to provide meals to those affected by the conflict.

One of their kitchens located in Deir al-Balah is serving a large number of meals to displaced Palestinians seeking safety. With 58 aid trucks allowed entry into Gaza, they have been able to distribute 100,000 meals so far. This demonstrates their commitment towards helping those who are affected by this crisis without hesitation or fear.
