Wolves are on the brink of signing 17-year-old defender Pedro Lima from Brazilian club Sport Recife in a £8.5m deal. The young player will officially become a Wolves player on his 18th birthday on July 1st, and has agreed to a five-year contract with an option for an additional year.

The West Midlands club managed to beat out competition from Chelsea’s partner club Strasbourg, who believed they had secured a deal with Lima last week. However, Sport Recife released a statement confirming the transfer of Lima’s rights to Wolves, pending the player’s approval of medical examinations.

President Yuri Romao and the football management committee are expected to provide further details on the transfer once all necessary steps have been completed. Wolves are looking to add the talented young defender to their squad as they continue to strengthen their team for the future.
