Despite incidents involving disruptive behavior and poor spectator behavior at the French Open, Wimbledon has decided to keep its alcohol policy unchanged. Unlike Roland Garros, which imposed a ban on alcohol due to these issues, the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) has announced that there are no plans to alter its alcohol policy.

Spectators at Wimbledon are allowed to bring in their own drinks, including wine or champagne, as well as two cans of beer. In addition, alcohol is available for purchase inside the grounds, with prices reported at £7.55 for a pint of beer and £11 for a gin and tonic. The cost of a jug of Pimm’s is £32.60.

In the past, incidents involving drunken fans at Wimbledon have led to legal action. For instance, Nick Kyrgios accused a spectator of being “drunk out of her mind” during a match against Novak Djokovic in 2014. The fan was temporarily removed from her seat and later sued Kyrgios for defamation. The case was settled with Kyrgios donating £20,000 to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
