The Tennessee Titans have undergone significant improvements on both offense and defense this offseason, but despite these enhancements, the general consensus nationally is that they will not have a successful season in 2024. ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) agrees with this sentiment, projecting the Titans to secure the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft after simulating the season 10,000 times.

According to the FPI, which calculates draft order by simulating the season multiple times and taking into account various factors such as team ratings, game locations, and average draft positions in the simulations, the Titans have a 7.1% chance of earning the No. 1 overall pick, a 36.7% chance of landing a top-five pick, and a 65.1% chance of being in the top 10. This projection keeps them relatively under the radar for the upcoming season, which is a familiar position for the franchise.

The only teams projected to have worse seasons than the Titans are the New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, and Denver Broncos, who are expected to secure picks 1-3, respectively. Despite their improvements this offseason, it seems that these enhancements may not be enough to propel them into contention for a championship next year.
