WhatsApp has become a popular choice for hackers looking to steal and deceive users. Many people are concerned about the security of their Meta app accounts and wonder how to know if someone has tried to steal their account or if it has been hacked. While WhatsApp accounts cannot be hacked or accessed from another device, users may unknowingly leave “open sessions” on other computers through WhatsApp Web.

To check for multiple open sessions, users can use the “Linked devices” function in the app. If a user suspects their account has been hacked or stolen, they can log in with their phone number and register again with a 6-digit code received via SMS or phone call. This will automatically log out anyone else accessing the account, as WhatsApp only allows one phone number per account at a time.

In addition to these steps, users can also enable Two-Step Verification for added security. This feature requires a 6-digit code when confirming a phone number in WhatsApp and provides an additional layer of protection against unauthorized access. If a user forgets their verification code, they may need to wait seven days to access their account without it. In case of suspected hacking or theft, users can contact WhatsApp support by sending an email to [email protected] with the subject “Cloned/Stolen Account” and providing detailed information about the incident.

By following these steps and staying vigilant, users can better protect their WhatsApp accounts from hackers and unauthorized access.
