Wales national team is facing a major setback ahead of their upcoming match against Ukraine in the Women’s European Championship qualifier. Goalkeeper Laura O’Sullivan and midfielder Josie Green will not be available for the team due to injury and personal reasons respectively.

The match will take place at the Rodan-Groklin Stadium in Grodzisk Wielkopolski, Poland on Tuesday, 4 June with a kick-off time of 19:00 BST. Fans can catch the action live on BBC One Wales, iPlayer, BBC Radio Wales, and Radio Cymru, as well as on the BBC Sport website and app. There will also be live text commentary available for those unable to watch the game live.

Unfortunately, Leicester City’s Josie Green is dealing with an injury that will keep her out of the match, while Cardiff City Ladies goalkeeper Laura O’Sullivan has withdrawn from the squad for personal reasons. In their absence, Blackburn Rovers forward Georgia Walters has been called up to join the squad for the trip to Poland.

Ukraine will be hosting the match in Grodzisk Wielkopolski due to the ongoing conflict with Russia. Despite the challenging circumstances, Wales are sitting at the top of Group B4 with seven points from three games. In their last match against Ukraine, Wales fought back to secure a 1-1 draw with a penalty from Kayleigh Barton after conceding an early goal.

The team will need to regroup and come together to overcome the absence of key players and secure a positive result against Ukraine in this important qualifier.
