Viridien’s Sensing & Monitoring business line has recently completed the sale and delivery of a GPR300 ocean-bottom nodal system for approximately $20 million. This state-of-the-art technology will be used by an undisclosed company in an upcoming seismic survey project in the North Sea.

Viridien’s GPR300 system features Sercel GPR nodes that incorporate QuietSeis MEMS technology, which provides unparalleled broadband signal sensing capability, fidelity, and ultra-quiet performance. This technology surpasses traditional OBN equipment, providing superior data for subsurface imaging. The system is specifically designed for shallow-water depths up to 300 meters and features a compact and lightweight design for easy manual handling, as well as simplified deployment and retrieval.

It is worth noting that CGG recently rebranded and changed its corporate name to Viridien, signaling a new era for the company.
