Aston Villa recently signed 21-year-old forward Lewis Dobbin from Everton for an undisclosed fee. Dobbin, who had been with Everton since he was 11 years old and made 20 senior appearances for the club, scoring one goal, has left Everton on a high note. In response to his departure, Everton released a statement thanking him for his contributions to the club and wishing him well for the future.

Meanwhile, Villa are also in talks to sell attacking midfielder Omari Kellyman to Chelsea for a reported fee of £19m. These moves come as Villa’s co-owner, Nassef Sawiris, expressed his dissatisfaction with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, stating that they are not beneficial for football.

Sawiris noted that Villa voted against the introduction of these rules, which allow clubs to incur losses of up to £105m over a three-year period. The club’s stance on this matter reflects their commitment to operating in a financially responsible manner while remaining competitive in the Premier League.
