Jalen Redmond, a talented defensive lineman, was signed by the Vikings on Tuesday after playing for the UFL’s Arlington Renegades this spring. In four games, he recorded 18 tackles, five tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks. This move came at the expense of receiver Devron Harper, who was waived by the team.

Redmond originally entered the NFL in 2023 with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent from Oklahoma. During his time at Oklahoma, he had an impressive record of 71 tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. However, he was waived by the Panthers last August during the offseason program.

Harper joined the Vikings this spring after going undrafted from Mercer University. Despite being waived by the team, he remains hopeful and continues to train hard in hopes of one day making it back onto a roster.
