The Vikings are continuing to add depth to their roster as they sign their drafted players. On Tuesday, they announced the signing of sixth-round offensive tackle Walter Rouse, who was selected 177th overall after starting all 13 games for Oklahoma last season.
Rouse brings a lot of versatility to the Vikings offensive line, having experience at left tackle. He transferred from Stanford, where he started 39 of 40 games from 2019-2022, with the majority of his snaps at left tackle. With Rouse now under contract, the Vikings have four of their seven selections from the 2024 draft signed.
However, there are still some key players remaining unsigned. First-round quarterback J.J. McCarthy and first-round linebacker Dallas Turner have yet to sign their contracts, as well as fourth-round defensive back Khyree Jackson. Despite this, the Vikings are making strategic moves to strengthen their roster and prepare for a successful season ahead.
