Vietravel Airlines reported its first quarterly net profit of over 10 billion VND, marking a significant achievement in the airline industry. Despite rising domestic air ticket prices and challenges such as higher input costs and aircraft maintenance, Vietravel Airlines has achieved this feat.

In March alone, the company’s revenue exceeded 172 billion VND, a 54% increase compared to the plan. This performance was driven by the expansion of flight networks and frequency, as well as charter flights offered by Vietravel from Ho Chi Minh City to Takamatsu and Da Nang – Fukushima (Japan).

Vietravel Airlines currently operates only 3 narrow-body A321s, but industry leaders suggest that profitability is difficult for airlines with fleets of less than 30 aircraft. Nonetheless, Vietravel Airlines has become the first airline to announce its first quarter business results, indicating a positive trend in the industry.

Looking ahead, Vietravel Airlines aims to achieve revenue of nearly 1,050 billion VND in the second quarter and expand its market share domestically and internationally. The airline plans to explore additional charter routes to destinations like Thailand, Taiwan, China, and Korea.
