A decade of planning has finally come to fruition with the opening of SGT. Coffee Co., a walk-up shop in Gahanna, Ohio. Owned by Ryan and Brandi Sargent, the couple’s passion for coffee and dream to start a business has become a reality. As an army veteran himself and his wife, Brandi hopes to give back to fellow veterans through their new venture.

Their mobile pop-up camper has been transformed into a unique walk-up coffee shop that serves coffees, sparkling drinks, and tea using flavors, syrups, and sauces from Crimson Cup. In addition to their delicious selection of drinks, they will also serve vegan and gluten-free pastries from Madelyn’s of Granville starting in July. The shop is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., providing the community with a one-of-a-kind coffee experience while giving back to those in need.

Brandi recently lost a family member who was a veteran, which inspired her to create a drink in his honor called Easy42, named after his radio call. The drink will have 10% of its proceeds donated to the Gary Sinise Foundation which supports wounded soldiers and their families. Ryan and Brandi hope to sponsor a local veteran nonprofit once a month through their coffee shop as well as continuing to grow their business while supporting more veterans in the future with the support of their community.
