The company has consolidated these functions into a single technology and operations organization (CTOO), which will be led by Anders Nielsen, the current CTO. The goal of this unified role is to establish an enterprise-wide industrial system within the company, aimed at increasing manufacturing efficiency by streamlining communication both within Vestas and throughout the value chain. The complete implementation of the united CTOO organization is expected to take place in the third quarter of this year.

In other news, Vestas has expressed confidence in its strong backlog for the upcoming years and announced the next phase in their organizational development to fulfill customer commitments. The united CTOO organization is set to accelerate the ramp-up and industrialization efforts within Vestas and the industry as a whole through enhanced collaboration, simplified interfaces, and a more holistic approach. Henrik Andersen, representing Vestas, thanked Tommy Rahbek Nielsen for his significant contributions as COO over the past 25 years, particularly during the challenges posed by the pandemic. Tommy’s role was instrumental in maintaining Vestas’ operations and preparing the COO organization for future growth. Andersen acknowledged Tommy’s essential role while welcoming Anders Nielsen as the leader to drive Vestas’ industrialization objectives forward.
