Junior Daneev Imbert is identified across campus for her active leadership roles in more than a half dozen organizations, clubs and departments. Regardless of her busy calendar, Imbert’s key concentrate is scheduling time to bring joy to other people.

Imbert is a founding member and president of the Migrant Rights Coalition, a cultural organization on campus that supports the dignity and rights of migrants, immigrants, refugees and 1st-generation Americans by way of advocacy, outreach and inclusivity.
“Knowing that I am generating a distinction in the CUA neighborhood and amplifying voices that go unnoticed or unheard is what inspires me to hold going,” mentioned Imbert. “Even as a student I am generating a distinction.”
As a 1st-year student, Imbert participated in Take Flight, a plan from the Center for Cultural Engagement that accompanies 1st-generation students as they transition to University life. Now an upperclassmen, she provides back by mentoring 1st-year students.
Imbert is also involved in leadership roles with the Black Student Alliance, Campus Ministry’s service and justice workplace, and Orientation and she operates with the Workplace of Campus Activities and the Student Philanthropy Council.
Imbert mentioned she receives unbelievable assistance in her service operate from the Center for Cultural Engagement. She also credits her classes at the Busch College of Company for her leadership formation.

In summer season 2022, Imbert went on a Campus Ministry Service and Justice Immersion Trip to Los Angeles that ministered to folks in rehabilitation, inspiring her to operate far more right after graduation in gang rehabilitation and immigration.
Imbert hopes to earn a master’s degree in social operate and operate with nonprofits. She also dreams of opening her personal small business, such as a dance studio or recreation center for kids in low earnings communities.
