MAD Architects recently shared an update on the construction progress of the Hainan Science and Technology Museum in China, set to open in 2025. The museum’s unique vertical spiraling structure is designed to combat museum fatigue and resembles an emerging cloud bank, while efficiently distributing spaces across five floors and a total area of 46,530 square meters.

Located within the coastal Haikou National Wetland Park, the museum will serve as a cultural landmark amidst the surrounding sports stadium designs. This project follows MAD’s previous work on the Wormhole Library in Haikou Bay. Additionally, the firm’s One River North development in Denver, their first residential project in North America, has reached a significant milestone as it nears completion.

MAD Architects’ innovative designs continue to push boundaries and create eye-catching architectural landmarks around the world. The Hainan Science and Technology Museum and One River North development are just two examples of their groundbreaking work that is shaping the urban landscape.
