The Bonita Elementary School will receive a boost in technology thanks to the generous contribution of Valley Telecom Group. Led by CEO Troy Judd and Valley Director and Secretary/Treasurer Joe Chapin, the company presented a $5,000 grant from the Valley Telephone Cooperative Foundation to Bonita Schools Superintendent Jonathan Truschke.

The grant will be used to purchase MacBooks and monitors for the classrooms at Bonita Elementary School. As part of their Donation Program, Valley Telecom Group supports rural school systems and community organizations, with additional funding available for extraordinary needs.

Beyond these grants, the Valley Telephone Cooperative Foundation also offers over $100,000 in college scholarships to students within its service area, which covers Southeastern Arizona and Southwestern New Mexico. These scholarships are awarded on a yearly basis, paid per semester, and can provide up to five years of funding for undergraduate studies and up to three years for graduate students.

Valley Telecom Group’s commitment to supporting education and technology in rural communities like Bonita has been instrumental in enhancing learning opportunities for students. The company’s generosity has helped to create a more equitable environment for students who may not have had access to the latest technology otherwise. With this grant, Bonita Elementary School is now better equipped to prepare its students for success in an increasingly digital world.
