The atmosphere at Rice Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City is electric as Utah players prepare for their highly anticipated matchup against USC on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

The Utes have been successful in their recruiting efforts, securing their sixth commitment in June with the addition of three-star offensive lineman Soren Shinofield from Cherry Creek High School in Colorado. Despite receiving offers from Nebraska, Iowa State, Kansas, Boston College, and Pittsburgh, Shinofield chose to commit to Utah.

Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 275 pounds, Shinofield is a valuable addition to Utah’s 2025 class. He is the first commitment along the offensive line and will bring strength and skill to the team. Shinofield joins a talented group of recruits that includes quarterback Wyatt Becker, edge rusher Nela Tupou, and several other promising players.

With Shinofield’s commitment, Utah’s recruiting momentum shows no signs of slowing down. The Utes are building a strong foundation for the future as they continue to attract top talent to their program.
