After securing a fourth-place finish in the recent race, Taylor Spivey believes she is on the right track to achieving her goal of earning an Olympic quota. Team USA was the only country to have three women finish in the top 10 during the event, with Spivey ranked fourth in the world. Despite setbacks from injuries and illnesses, she remains optimistic about her progress and still has room for improvement.

Kirsten Kasper also had a strong performance, finishing in fifth place just behind Spivey. Gwen Jorgensen, making a comeback to the sport, finished in 15th place in hopes of qualifying for her third Olympics. The U.S. women’s team had impressive finishes across the board, with Taylor Knibb coming in second place and Summer Rappaport finishing in 49th place.

On the men’s side, Morgan Pearson led the way with a first-place finish. The U.S. men’s team had solid performances, with Matt McElroy, Darr Smith, and Seth Rider finishing in the top 26. As the qualification window for the Olympics draws to a close, Team USA is working to finalize its lineup for Paris 2024. With high hopes after their silver medal in the mixed relay in Tokyo 2020, the team is aiming to build a roster that can compete for gold at the upcoming Olympics.
