In a stunning upset, Afghanistan emerged victorious against Australia in their T20 World Cup clash in Kingstown, St Vincent. The win kept Afghanistan’s semifinals hopes alive as they chased down 149 runs and bowled out Australia for 127 runs in 19.2 overs.

Gulbadin Naib was hailed as the standout performer of the match, taking four wickets with his 20-ball spell. Naveen-ul-Haq also contributed to the victory with three wickets in his seven overs. The win was celebrated by the cricket world, with many calling it a historic moment for Afghanistan.

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif praised the Afghans on their impressive performance and significant achievement of defeating Australia for the first time. With India facing a must-win game against Pakistan, Afghanistan prepares to play against Bangladesh in their next match.
