UPMC’s recent announcement of the opening of a new sports medicine clinic in Ireland marks an expansion of its multinational sports medicine and orthopedic network. The partnership with Mardyke Arena University College Cork allows UPMC to provide services to the southern region of Ireland, bringing advanced sports medicine and orthopedic care to more people in the area.

Dr. Joel Nelson, president of UPMC International, expressed excitement about the partnership and the opportunity to deliver excellence in patient care in sports and exercise medicine. The collaboration between UPMC and Mardyke Arena UCC aims to develop new solutions for sports-related injuries and provide support for individuals of all ages in need of joint replacement, rehabilitation, and care.

John Windle, general manager of Sports Medicine at UPMC Ireland, highlighted the commitment to delivering high-quality sports medicine services to individuals across Ireland. The new UPMC Sports Medicine Clinic in Cork is a significant addition to the existing UPMC Sports Medicine services in Dublin, Waterford, Limerick, Tipperary, and Mayo.

This expansion reflects UPMC’s dedication to providing world-class sports medicine care to communities across Ireland. By working closely with the country’s public health system, UPMC aims to meet the diverse needs of patients seeking care in Ireland.
