As a journalist, I am thrilled to present this week’s coverage of wine, fine dining, and business news. In particular, I had the pleasure of visiting Bingham Family Vineyards and Bingham Family Farms near Meadow earlier this week. The family and staff were eager to share the area’s rich 123-year history, which has evolved from cotton to peanuts to wine production. Most recently, they launched a new wine in honor of Blake Eddie Bingham, with proceeds going towards the Blake Eddie Scholarship for viticulture and enology students at Texas Tech University and Texas A&M. It is truly inspiring to see the enduring impact that Blake’s legacy continues to have on the community.

Moving on from that story, we have an upcoming article that will delve deeper into the Bingham family’s deep connection with the land and the Texas wine industry. On another note, Chez Sami / Il Dolce Far Niente announced the closure of their Wolfforth location earlier this week. The final meal will be served on June 15th. This decision comes after a successful opening of their Lubbock location last November, indicating that they are focusing on strengthening their presence in that area.

Exciting news also comes from The Rollin’ Cones ice cream truck turned storefront as they prepare to launch a new drive-thru location in August or September at the former site of Tom & Bingo’s BBQ. Lastly, Twisted Root is offering a special deal for National Hamburger Day next Tuesday with $7 Classic Burgers on the menu! We look forward to bringing you updates from potential new businesses in the upcoming week. Thank you for your continued support and readership of A-J!
