In the small town of Rennertshofen, Bavaria, the search for missing teacher Helmut Strigl continues. His cousin reported him missing in November 2021, with his last known whereabouts being in June 2018. Living on a former farm with little social contact, Strigl disappeared shortly after retiring from teaching at middle schools in Neuburg an der Donau.

The police found no clues to his whereabouts on his property after it was reported that he had gone missing. However, investigators suspect foul play due to suspicious activity involving Strigl’s retirement payments being redirected to other accounts through forged signatures. A man who previously worked for Strigl was convicted of forgery, indicating a possible connection to his disappearance.

The investigation is now focusing on three key questions: who has seen Strigl since mid-2018, who has come across his BMW 318i sedan with the license plate ND-HA 36, and who has encountered his trailer with the license plate ND-G 673 after June 2018. A reward of 3000 euros has been offered for any information leading to the discovery of Strigl’s whereabouts. Tips can be provided to the Ingolstadt police at 0841 / 9343-0.

Following the TV broadcast, several tips have already been received, and the search for Helmut Strigl continues as authorities work diligently to solve the mystery of his disappearance and bring closure to his loved ones.
