In a bid to support women entrepreneurs, the U.S. Small Business Administration has announced $30 million in grant funding for Women’s Business Centers across the country. This is the first time that organizations offering virtual counseling and training services will also be considered for the grants.

The grants will be allocated for four key areas: government contracting services for women business owners, entrepreneurial development for women-owned businesses in childcare services, general entrepreneurial development services for women in new areas, and support for the establishment of a new Women’s Business Center in the U.S. Virgin Islands. These grants aim to provide female entrepreneurs with access to training and assistance to help their small businesses succeed.

Christina Hale, Assistant Administrator for the SBA’s Office of Women’s Business Ownership, explained that these grants will have a significant impact on the growth and success of women-owned businesses across the country. “We believe that by providing these resources, we can empower more women to start and grow successful businesses,” said Hale.

Interested organizations can apply for these grants by contacting the SBA’s Office of Women’s Business Ownership at owbo@sba.gov. This office was established by executive order in 1979 and plays a key role in supporting women-owned businesses across the country.
