In 2021, BrandZ has named Apple the world’s most valuable brand for the third year in a row. Additionally, Apple surpassed the $1 trillion mark and grew by 15% to nearly $1.016 trillion, making it the first brand to reach this milestone.
The top five most valuable brands in the world remained relatively consistent from last year, with Google (Alphabet Inc.) holding the top spot with a value of $753.5 billion (up 30%), followed by Microsoft at $712.9 billion (up 42%), Amazon at $576.6 billion (up 23%), and McDonald’s at $221.9 billion (up 16%). Nvidia showed significant growth, increasing its value by 2.8 times to $201.8 billion and rising to sixth place.
The report also notes that Visa was valued at $188.9 billion (up 12%) and Facebook (Meta) was valued at $166.75 billion (up 79%). Oracle experienced an increase of 58% in value to $145.5 billion, while Tencent saw a decline of 4% in value to $135.2 billion. The report highlights that the combined cost of the top ten brands in 2024 is equivalent to the value of the remaining ninety brands in the top one hundred, emphasizing their importance within global commerce and branding strategies.
