The Museum of Discovery and Science in downtown Fort Lauderdale recently opened a new immersive space called the MAGNA-TILES Studio. This unique studio allows children to explore, create, and let their imaginations run wild while combining play with learning. During a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, museum officials highlighted the limitless possibilities for young visitors in this innovative space.

Joe Cox, the museum’s president and CEO, expressed his excitement about the MAGNA-TILES Studio. He noted that children can use the MAGNA-TILES to create space engines, submarines for unicorns, and have an amazing learning experience about magnetism, light, and color. The workshop features five creation stations filled with magnet-building activities aimed at enhancing children’s skills and understanding of art, science, technology, engineering, and math.

The MAGNA-TILES Studio offers a full STEAM experience for children to engage in hands-on learning activities. This new space at the museum provides a unique opportunity for kids to learn through play and exploration. It is designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a fun and interactive environment. With the opening of the MAGNA-TILES Studio, the Museum of Discovery and Science continues to provide innovative educational experiences for children in the Fort Lauderdale area.
