With the tender signed, Higgins and the team have until July 15 to reach a long-term agreement before he plays on a one-year, $21.8 million deal. Despite this possibility, it remains unlikely that a multiyear contract will be negotiated, as discussions have been on hold for over a year.
Tee Higgins has been a standout player for the Bengals since he joined the team in 2020 as a second-round pick from Clemson University. Throughout his four seasons with the team, he has put up impressive numbers, averaging 64 catches, 921 yards, and six touchdowns per season.
