Paris Fashion Week 2024 came to a close with Vogue World: Paris, which brought together some of the biggest names in sports at the iconic Place Vendôme. The event was described by Anna Wintour, the global editorial director of Vogue, as an opening ceremony celebrating 100 years of fashion and sports in Paris.
The event featured athletes such as Serena Williams, who has won 23 Grand Slam women’s singles titles, and Victor Wembanyama, who won Rookie of the Year honors in his debut season in the NBA. Joe Burrow, a star wide receiver recently traded to the Houston Texans, also attended and has accumulated over 800 receptions in his NFL career.
In addition to these athletes were other notable figures such as Venus Williams, Eileen Gu and Chloe Kim who won gold medals at the Winter Olympics, Marie-José Pérec and Maria Sharapova who are both retired athletes and Casper Ruud who won the 2024 Barcelona Open in April.
Vogue World: Paris showcased the intersection of high fashion and sports, creating a memorable conclusion to Paris Fashion Week 2024.
