The annual STEAM Fair on June 1 was a huge success, with more than 45 interactive activity stations that showcased the talents of Uniondale High School’s Science Honor Society students. The event, supported by district teachers, attracted students, family members, and neighbors for a Saturday full of creativity, exploration, and learning.
The fair included a wide range of activities such as an augmented reality sandbox, blood pressure monitoring, DNA extraction, bath bombs, edible play dough, liquid nitrogen ice cream, live animal exhibits, a photography contest, robotics demonstrations, and slime. Participants had the opportunity to take part in educational activities in various STEAM disciplines while building critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Tie-dye T-shirts were available for purchase at the event while food and snacks were provided by the Science Honor Society. The tie-dye station allowed people to create unique souvenirs to remember their experience at the fair. Arthur Registre expressed gratitude to volunteers and community partners whose support made the event possible. Their dedication to education enriched the experience for all participants and contributed to the overall success of the fair.
