Harrison Ingram, North Carolina’s starting wing, has announced his decision to enter the NBA draft. The 6-foot-7, 225-pound player made the announcement through a statement and video on social media over the weekend. During his time with the Tar Heels, Ingram was a valuable player, ranking as the team’s third-highest scorer with 12.2 points per game and second-highest rebounder with 8.8 rebounds per game.
Ingram transferred to North Carolina after playing two seasons at Stanford, where he averaged 10.5 points per game. Throughout the season, Ingram showcased his skills with several standout performances. Notably, he recorded a double-double in his first Duke-UNC game and grabbed an impressive 19 rebounds in a game against N.C. State, marking the largest rebound total by a UNC player in the history of that rivalry.
The Tar Heels will also be losing two other starters, veteran big man Armando Bacot and guard Cormac Ryan. However, first-team Associated Press All-American guard RJ Davis still has the option to stay in Chapel Hill for a fifth year of eligibility.
