Hailey Pendleton, a UNC Asheville Women’s Golf graduate, has been recognized with Academic All-District® honors from College Sports Communicators. The announcement was made on Tuesday, June 25. To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must meet certain criteria including being at least a sophomore both athletically and academically, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and participating in at least 70% of team scoring events during the year.

During her senior year, Pendleton competed in 10 tournaments and 27 rounds, ending with a stroke average of 78.8. She achieved her first career Top-20 finish at Ball State’s Brittany Kelly Classic, where she tied for 20th place with teammate Presley Pickron. This recognition is Pendleton’s first Academic All-District® honor.

Pendleton is originally from Matthews, N.C., and graduated from UNC Asheville with a bachelor’s degree in health and wellness promotion with a GPA of 3.55.
