Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko confirmed that Russian troops targeted energy infrastructure in several oblasts during a large-scale attack on Ukraine. The attack, which occurred during the night, used drones and cruise missiles to hit at least four buildings and a bus in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. In Vinnytsia oblast, downed Russian drones caused a fire at a crucial infrastructure facility. Meanwhile, in the Zaporizhzhia region, around twenty buildings were hit. No injuries were reported in any of these attacks.
On Friday, Russian forces launched multiple attacks on the Sumy oblast using mortar, drone, and artillery attacks. Explosives were dropped from drones on two communities but no casualties or injuries were reported. The Kiyv Independent reports that the communities of Khotin, Yunakivka, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Myropillia, Seredyna-Buda, Mykolaiv, Svesy and Esman are under threat.
