Ukraine MP Kira Rudik has called on Western leaders to increase the amount of weapons being sent to her country and acquire more air defense systems to effectively combat Russian aggression. Without adequate air defenses, Ukraine cannot guarantee the safety of its people and needs to be able to push Russia back.

Rudik expressed concern about the vulnerability of US-made F-16 jets and stressed the need for increased air defenses to protect these aircraft. She urged Ukraine’s allies to shift their mindset from simply allowing Ukraine to fight to actively supporting them in winning the war.

In response to fears that Russia could escalate if Ukraine acquires modern weapons and fighter jets, Rudik highlighted that Moscow has already escalated by committing war crimes on Ukrainian territory. She emphasized the necessity of stopping Russia and reiterated the urgency for Western leaders to increase the amount of weapons being sent to Ukraine to ensure their ability to defend themselves and secure victory in the war.
