UFC 303, which was set to feature a highly anticipated comeback fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler, has been postponed due to an injury sustained by McGregor. The injury has forced the Irish fighter to withdraw from the main event, leaving fans disappointed.

In McGregor’s absence, the new main event will feature Alex Pereira facing off against Jiří Prochazka for the light heavyweight title. The co-main event will showcase former featherweight champion Brian Ortega against rising star Diego Lopes. The cancellation of McGregor’s fight was hinted at last week when a press conference was abruptly canceled, indicating that the fight may be in jeopardy.

The severity of McGregor’s injury is currently unknown, but it has forced him to withdraw from the upcoming fight. The fighter, known for his historic victory over Eddie Alvarez in a championship fight in 2016, has only competed in the octagon four times since then. It is unclear when McGregor will be able to reschedule his fight with Chandler, as UFC officials work on finding a suitable replacement date.
