On Sunday, former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson experienced a medical scare while on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. According to his representatives, the 57-year-old boxer became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing. The incident required paramedics to attend to him, but he is now reportedly doing well after receiving medical attention.

Tyson’s team expressed gratitude for the medical staff who assisted him during the incident. However, it’s worth noting that the delay in the flight was not caused by Tyson’s medical attention but by air conditioning issues on the aircraft.

InTouch magazine had earlier reported that Tyson had a “medical emergency” on the plane, leading to paramedics boarding. However, his representatives clarified that there was no emergency and that the delay was caused by technical issues with the air conditioning system.

Despite this setback, Tyson is currently gearing up for a match in July against vlogger-turned-boxer Jake Paul, set to be aired on Netflix. The fight has been highly anticipated, with many fans eagerly waiting to see how Tyson will fare against his younger opponent.

Tyson has been diligently training for the fight and has made some sacrifices in his preparation. He revealed on “The Damon Elliot Show” in April that he had refrained from smoking and having sex for two-and-a-half weeks as part of his commitment to his training regimen. It remains to be seen whether these changes have paid off or not when he steps into the ring against Paul in July.
