Since being traded to the Dolphins during the 2022 offseason, receiver Tyreek Hill has been vocal in his support of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Despite seeking a new contract for himself, Hill has not wavered in his stance on Miami’s quarterback, as he emphasized when discussing Tagovailoa’s contract situation.

Hill expressed confidence in General Manager Chris Greer and Senior VP Brandon Shore to get a deal done for Tagovailoa. He compared Tagovailoa to other quarterbacks who have received big contracts and believes that Tagovailoa deserves to be compensated accordingly given his skill and potential for growth. Hill highlighted Tagovailoa’s progression and impact on the team, stating that a new contract is an investment in Tagovailoa’s future performance.

Tagovailoa, on the other hand, remains patient but eager for a long-term deal to be finalized. He expressed that he is not frustrated but rather “antsy” for the process to be completed. While confident that a deal will eventually be reached, Tagovailoa did not specify whether he expects to sign before training camp begins. Despite the uncertainty surrounding his contract negotiations, both Hill and Tagovailoa remain focused on their roles within the team and look forward to achieving success on the field.
