Two former world number ones and Grand Slam champions, Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki, have been awarded wild cards into the 2024 BNP Paribas Open, set to be held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California from March 3-17.

Venus Williams, who won seven Grand Slam titles in singles and four Olympic gold medals in her illustrious career, is returning to the desert for the first time since 2019 when she reached the quarterfinals. The 43-year old has won a total of 49 WTA titles throughout her career, including 11 weeks as the number one ranked singles player in the world and eight weeks as the World No. 1 in doubles.

Caroline Wozniacki, who won two Grand Slam titles (the Australian Open in 2018 and BNP Paribas Open in 2011) and spent a total of 71 weeks as the World No. 1 ranked player, is also making a return to Tennis Paradise after a three-year hiatus following the birth of her two children.
