G.T. Bynum, who has been serving as the mayor of Tulsa for the past five years, is set to join the Saint Francis Health System as the vice president of community and government affairs once his term ends at the end of this year. This news was announced by the President and CEO of Saint Francis Health System, Dr. Cliff Robertson on Saturday.

Dr. Robertson praised Bynum as a visionary leader for the City of Tulsa and expressed his pride in adding him to the Saint Francis team. He highlighted Bynum’s leadership qualities, smart decision-making skills, and compassion, particularly noting his response following the 2022 tragedy at the Natalie Building.

As vice president of community and government affairs at Saint Francis, Mayor Bynum will be responsible for overseeing these aspects of the organization, bringing his expertise to the role after leaving office in December. Mayor Bynum expressed his love for the Saint Francis Health System and its commitment to serving the community.

Having previously served on the Tulsa City Council for eight years before becoming mayor, G.T. Bynum has a long history of public service. He was reelected in 2020 and has dedicated a quarter century to serving the people of Tulsa. He looks forward to using his experience and knowledge gained in public service to benefit the Saint Francis Health System and contribute to its mission of excellence in healthcare.
