Tennessee State University’s Sports Medicine Department recently hosted a sold-out Dry Needling Course at the Gentry Center in Nashville. Over three days, more than 40 medical professionals from across the region attended the course to learn about advanced treatment methods in sports medicine.

The goal of the course was to provide attendees with the knowledge, safety, and clinical skills necessary to effectively assess and deliver dry needling treatment for painful neuromuscular conditions. The course included interactive lectures and hands-on labs, providing comprehensive training and practical experience.

Trevor Searcy, TSU’s Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine, and Assistant Athletic Trainer Jeremy Hall were among the participants of the event. Searcy stated that hosting this course is significant for TSU Sports Medicine as it helps expand their brand and establishes them as a leader in the field of sports medicine.

By hosting such training sessions, TSU is demonstrating its commitment to advancing the field of sports medicine and fostering professional development within its community.
