Nvidia’s latest chip architecture, named “Rubin,” has been unveiled by the company over the weekend. According to analysts at Goldman Sachs, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is expected to benefit from this announcement, as it will utilize TSMC’s powerful 3-nanometer nodes in the Rubin platform to enhance chip performance.

The analysts at Goldman Sachs also mentioned that TSMC’s cutting-edge 2-nanometer chips could be used in future products after Rubin. Investor sentiment towards artificial intelligence remains positive, with expectations for new applications beyond AI chatbots like OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

Nvidia faces competition from rivals such as Advanced Micro Devices, Intel, Google-owner Alphabet, and Microsoft in the chip market. However, Goldman Sachs views TSMC as a key beneficiary of the AI trend due to its leadership in advanced chip manufacturing. TSMC is well-positioned to meet the growing demand for higher power and computing performance in AI applications, making it a valuable partner for companies like Nvidia in the development of innovative chips for the future.
