Doyle Archer, the world’s oldest truck driver, has been driving trucks for over 60 years. At the age of 90, he was certified as the oldest truck driver by Guinness World Records. Archer works for Coomes Inc. in Phillipsburg, Kan., where he has been for the past 20 years.
Throughout his career, Archer has driven approximately 5.5 million miles and has no plans to retire anytime soon. He stated that as long as his health holds, he will continue driving. Retirement is not a word in his vocabulary.
Archer has transported all kinds of cargo across the country during his career. He mentioned that he has hauled anything that can be transported by truck. Despite his age, Archer is passionate about his job and plans to keep going as long as he can.
