In the east, healthcare organization Trillium Health Resources has announced the launch of a new healthcare plan centered on behavioral health. This innovative plan is designed to meet the needs of uninsured individuals and those on Medicaid across multiple counties, starting from July 1st.
As a specialty care manager, Trillium Health Resources supports individuals with substance abuse, mental illness, and intellectual/developmental disabilities. The new plan, known as the Behavioral Health and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Tailored Plan or Trillium Tailored Plan, aims to help people manage their behavioral and physical health services more effectively.
The Trillium Tailored Plan is specifically tailored for those who are uninsured, on Medicaid, dealing with serious mental illness, severe substance use disorders, intellectual/developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, NC Innovations Waiver members, and those on the waitlist. This plan will be available in all 46 counties that Trillium Health serves.
Some of the benefits of the Trillium Tailored Plan include new benefits for physical and pharmacy services, non-emergency medical transportation, a nurse line, physical health prevention programs, and Trillium Advantage, a value-added service. The organization has updated its website with information about the new plan and has reached out to eligible members.
