Drew Gordon, the older brother of Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon, tragically passed away in a car accident in Portland, Oregon at the age of 33. His agent, Calvin Andrews, confirmed the tragic news to ESPN late Thursday.

Gordon was a gifted basketball player who initially played for UCLA before transferring to New Mexico for his junior season. Despite not being drafted in 2012, he had stints with the Dallas Mavericks in Summer League and the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA, where he played nine games during the 2014-15 season before being waived in December.

Following his NBA experience, Gordon played professional basketball overseas for nearly a decade, with a notable achievement being named an All-Star in France in 2015. He retired from basketball in 2023.

CBS Sports will provide updates on this story as more information becomes available.
