On Tuesday afternoon, a man was discovered dead between a business wall in Newark and a shipping container. The police were called to the scene on the 200 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue at 3:55 p.m. When they arrived, officers and firefighters were able to move the container and extract the man from the location. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene about an hour later, according to a statement from Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé.

Fragé stated that there was no suspicion of foul play involved in the man’s death. However, limited information was provided on Tuesday evening as the investigation was ongoing.
