As a teenager, Olivier Rioux stood out for his towering height. At just eight years old, he was already 6’1″ and continued to grow rapidly. His parents, both standing at impressive heights themselves, had no doubt that their son would reach great heights.

Growing up in Montreal, Rioux played high school basketball at IMG Academy in Florida before committing to the Gators. It was there that he honed his skills and began to develop into a formidable force on the court. By the age of 16, he stood at just over 7’5″ and was officially recognized in the Guinness World Record book as the tallest teenager.

Despite his exceptional height, Rioux is not just a big presence on the court; he also possesses good hands and touch on the offensive end. However, he will need to work on developing his coordination, especially in fast-paced situations.

As a 3-star prospect listed on 247Sports, Rioux is set to make his mark playing Division I basketball for Florida. With his impressive height and skills, he is poised to contribute to the team’s success in the upcoming season. Travis Branham, a basketball analyst for 247Sports, provided a scouting report when Rioux was 7’6″, highlighting his ability to dominate the paint and serve as a strong rebounder.

Florida’s strong performance in the previous season, winning 24 games and reaching the SEC tournament final, provides an exciting platform for Rioux to showcase his talents on the college basketball stage.
